The Boeing Company is currently hiring a Supplier Quality Specialist. The individual will lead and document audits and assessments of suppliers' systems, processes and products, including inspections on various types of hardware and assemblies.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plans and conducts audits and assessments of supplier systems, processes and products to determine compliance with Boeing technical and contractual requirements.
  • Documents and reports audit and assessment results.
  • Inspects or verify products for compliance with requirements of various technologies and commodities.
  • Evaluate supplier Root Cause Analysis and proposed corrective action plans, review and support supplier improvement activities.
  • Conducts investigations in support of rejected product, notification of escapements, notices of failure.
  • Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work.
  • Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives to develop and improve supplier performance and productivity.
  • Monitors quality improvement initiatives at supplier; develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity
  • Please note that the position will require frequent travel circa 60%

This position is expected to be hybrid, we are looking for a candidate located in the area of East Midlands/north of East Midlands to accommodate supplier support demand. Visits to local/nearest offices as well as supplier sites are expected and aligned as per business needs. Flexibility to work from home outside of business need travel is applicable.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Prior audit and quality assessments experience.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability and the technical skills to lead and perform source inspections on various types of hardware and assemblies.
  • Ability to conduct audits of suppliers’ quality management system and processes to determine compliance with Boeing technical and contractual requirements.
  • Ability and the technical skills to lead and perform source inspections on various types of hardware and assemblies.
  • Working comprehension of the requirements of AS9100 and AS9102.
  • Fluent in English in spoken and written.
  • Driving License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working or have worked at a company or government agency providing parts or services to the aerospace industry would be ideal.
  • Experience developing supplier improvement plans and strategies, providing training, and coaching.
  • Experience or knowledge of APQP.
  • Experience or qualification in special processes (heat treatment, coating etc.).

Work Authorization: This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work immediately in the European Union. Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
